TAAC-N/TAAT JUNE-JULY 2014

‚ÄčThe Train Advice Assist Command-North / Train Advice Assist Team (TAAC-N / TAAT) Training Event (TE) 14 was dedicated to train, rehearse and contribute to the overall preparation of the future HQ TAAC-N and participants in Train Advice Assist Teams Theatre-wide. It was a computer assisted command post exercise (CAX-CPX). It was based on a realistic scenario with the following primary objectives: - Promote continuity and common standards - especially during the (pre-) transition phase, - Establish mission and functional area awareness, - Facilitate and rehearse staff actions and cross functional interaction, -Familiarize with current RC-N and future TAAC-N operations including effective incorporation of ANSF (focus on Train, Advice, Assist) and other players within the comprehensive environment.. The Mission Rehearsal Training, supported by OAKAS EXCON Control Staff and Subject Matter Experts, representatives of ANSF, Afghan citizens, IGOs and NGOs and JFTC permanent staff members, lasted 17 days. It consisted of Mission Specific Training (MST), Functional Area System Training (FAST), Functional Area Training (FAT), Battle Staff Training (BST) and Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRE).
